Countess Elizabeth Báthory was a Hungarian countess. She is possibly the most prolific serial killer in history and is remembered as the "Blood Countess" and as Bloody Lady of Čachtice, after the castle near Trenčín, at that time in Royal Hungary, where she spent most of her life.
After her husband's death, she and four collaborators were accused of torturing and killing hundreds of girls and young women, with one witness attributing to them over 600 victims, though she was only convicted on 80 counts. In 1610, she was imprisoned in Čachtice Castle, where she remained bricked in her room until her death four years later. She was never formally tried in court.

Yup, she has a bit of blood at the corner of her mouth but the file was made small so its hard to tell. But yea, she believed it would keep her young and beautiful so she would supposedly drink and/or bathe in their blood. ick!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Art is like Love, unless it is shared, and viewed by others and appreciated, it has no mutual return, it is empty and hollow, and lonely.
